Job Description:
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate and
skilled Part-time Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. In this
role, you will provide in-home end-of-life care and euthanasia
services, ensuring a peaceful and dignified farewell for pets. You
will work closely with pet owners to deliver empathetic care,
manage pain, and support families during sensitive times. This
position requires the ability to travel locally to clients' homes,
and offers flexible hours tailored to meet your availability.
Provide compassionate and ethical end-of-life care to pets in their
home environment. Communicate effectively with pet owners,
providing emotional support and clear explanations regarding care
options. Administer medications, perform euthanasia, and handle
tissue samples when necessary. Coordinate with a team of healthcare
professionals to provide exceptional care. Maintain clear and
accurate records of all patient care. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to handle emotional situations with
sensitivity Proficiency in small animal care and geriatric pet care
Skillful in administering injections and medications Comfortable
working independently in a home setting Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Licensed to practice
veterinary medicine in the state of employment Certification in
animal palliative care or euthanasia is highly valued but not
required
