We are seeking a Configuration Analyst to support operations in our
Oxnard/Goleta location. This position is available at the Northrop
Grumman facility at Oxnard/Goleta CA (% allocation varying
throughout year based on site project goals/needs, but remote work
capable), as part of the Northrop Grumman Payload and Ground
systems Division, Space Components and Strategic Business
Deployables Operating Unit, which specializes in deployable systems
for spacecraft such as solar arrays, instrument booms, extendible
support structures, and reflector boom antennas/deployable
booms/masts.
Overview:
Reporting to the Configuration Management manager, the
Configuration Analyst will plan and coordinate preparation of
project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production
specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure
customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to
determine documentation required for each phase of project,
applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on
overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for
management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for
change authorization and documentation by company and
subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change
data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support,
manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain program documents and baselines through the
lifecycle of the program
Perform document revision audits to verify compliance with contract
requirements and/or internal engineering baselines
Perform regular documents configuration audits on established
baselines
Data entry of part numbers or documents into MRP system
(CostPoint)
Verify accuracy and completeness of external and internal drawings
and specifications to ensure compliance with company CM standards
before release into the appropriate program via CM Databases or PLM
system (Enovia & Teamcenter)
Create documentation in support of internal customers
Route internal documentation for review/approval
Maintain procedures for storage, retention and destruction of
company records
Issue, track and distribute engineering documentation to the shop
floors
Other functions as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience in Configuration
Management, or an additional 4 years experience in lieu of a
degree
Understanding of Configuration Management principals and
application to the performance of Key Responsibilities
Demonstrated use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
to document and manage business processes
Excellent communication skills - presentation, oral, written, and
listening.
Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize job
assignments and tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as in an integrated team and
adapt to change and dynamic requirements.
Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the
ability to solve issues
U.S. Citizenship is a bona fide requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years experience in Configuration Management
Demonstrated knowledge of PLM systems such as Teamcenter or
Enovia
Demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management principles
Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints
Physical Requirements:
Salary Range: $68,100.00 - $102,100.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
