Buyer - Hiring Now! Our client in Oxnard, CA is looking for a self-driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our client's business located in Oxnard, CA What's in it for you?

• Rate: $25-35/hr
• Shifts: M-F: 8 AM - 5 PM
• Paid training

  • Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
  • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Assess vendor/supplier capabilities based on factory audits and performance and make decisions to drive improvement.
  • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
  • Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
  • Assist in SAP clean up and data entry for business units to ensure correct supply chain and procurement process.
  • Initiate projects to resource parts and identify/recommend alternate designs and/or manufacturing methods for current parts and new design prototype requests. What do you bring?
    • Buyer role and/or 3+ years of relevant proven experience preferred.
    • Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering
    • MS Office: (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge of Excel a plus
    • Contract negotiation skills
    • International buyer experience
    • Proficient in appropriate software. (ERP/MRP experience required)
