Unit Support Tech - Post Anesthesia Care Unit
St. John's Regional Medical Center
We are seeking a highly motivated Unit Support Tech to join our
team. The Unit Support Tech participates as a member of the health
care team by providing support to our Post Anesthsia Care Unit.
Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains Post Anesthsia Care Unit
Restocks area after each use.
Cleans room
Cleans gurneys
Transports patients
Some answering of phones and message taking
Qualifications
High school graduate
Current AHA CPR Certification (CT CPRBLS)
Preferred:
Six (6) months recent hospital experience as a C.N.A, CT or UST
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures desirable
Special Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and
medical staff
Relates with patients/visitors empathetically and tactfully
Reacts calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies and
health standards
Ability to follow written and oral instructions in exact
detail.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the
terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining
agreement.
