OverviewSenecas Ventura County Crisis Program provides crisis stabilization and short-term residential treatment for youth in serious distress. This groundbreaking program provides a no eject, no reject policy to meet the needs of the youth in our care. Our collaborative decision-making process enables each individual youth and family to safely communicate their needs, in order to leverage their strengths, talents, and cultural and ecological resources. Services include linkage to long-term, sustainable supports based on each clients unique strengths and needs.TheAwake OvernightCrisis Clinicianprovides direct services to clients in crisis in conjunction with Psychiatric Health Facility triage staff at a Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Awake Overnight Crisis Clinician position works as a part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of nurses, psychiatrists and counselors.Interested in learning more about this opportunity?Click hereto watch a video from the Program's Assistant Director!Seneca supports clinicians towards licensure and beyond.We provideindividual and group supervision, regularclinical case conferences, andlicensure and renewal coursesled by field experts. Senecas agency-wide DEI Advisory Board, Employee Resource Groups, and Language Practice Groups help our employees provide culturally and linguistically relevant services to the families we serve.For more information on our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative,click here!ResponsibilitiesWork with crisis counselors and nurses to assess for risk, treatment needs and linkage gaps.Conduct psychosocial evaluation to determine level of care and additional client needs.Provide referrals and linkages for additional services as necessary.Coordinate and implement treatment and services for assigned clients with counselors, psychiatrist and nurse.Work with treatment team to determine course of action for follow-up services.Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers.Provide short term therapeutic services to client and family.Participate in individual and/or group supervision.Participate in on-call crisis response system.Chart mental health notes, incident reports, and other documentation as necessary in a timely manner.Intervene with the clients behavior management programs as needed. This includes physical management of the clients (implementation of Senecas Equilibrium Initiative Training) as necessary.QualificationsMasters degree in Psychology, Social Work or CounselingEligible to register and/or registered with the California Board of Behavioral SciencesTB test clearance, fingerprint clearances, and any other State/Federal licensing or certificationsValid California driver's license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policyExperience working with children in out-of-home care a plusAbility to work with a diverse populationGood organizational and writing skillsScheduleFull time, Schedules Available:Option 1Friday: 24hr On-CallSaturday: 7pm - 7:30amSunday: 7pm - 7:30amMonday: 7pm - 7:30amOption 2Tuesday: 24hr On-CallWednesday: 7pm - 7:30amThursday: 7pm - 7:30amFriday: 7pm - 7:30am
