Advanced Optometrics of Westlake Village, a state of the art eye care facility, is seeking an individual with a strong sense of style, luxury retail experience, and enjoys working with people of all ages and sincerely wants to improve the lives of those around them. The ideal candidate must be friendly, personable, motivated with an excellent work ethic, desires to help others and grow with our team. This is a full-time position and the candidate must be able to work Saturdays. We are willing to train the right person with a can do attitude who is a quick learner given extensive retail customer service or sales experience. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SUPERSTAR TO JOIN OUR TEAM Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following) Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction by showing respect, listening, saying thank you, being responsive, and asking for feedback. Assist customers in the selection of frames and optical lenses that are tailor-fitted to the shape of the customer's face and to their individual styles. Answer phones efficiently, record messages and transfer calls with a warm and clear phone voice that exudes confidence. Schedule and confirm appointments and follow-up visits. Verify insurance coverage and annotate coverage in system as needed. Bill various vision insurance plans timely and accurately. Accept and record payment for all purchases according to company policies and procedures. Ensure store cleanliness at all times. Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services; perform patient education for frames, lens, product care & maintenance. Conduct contact lens training and maintain trial lens supply. Qualifications Minimum Required Education: Must have training from a vocational school, recognized apprenticeship program or an associates degree. Minimum Required Experience: Must have at least 1-2 years of previous relevant work experience, on-the-job training, or apprenticeship in the field. Desired Certifications and/or Licensures: Licensed Optician Knowledge and Skills Required Extensive customer service experience Strong sales skills Great team player Excellent communication skills Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., friendly, empathetic, patient) Organized, detail oriented Strong math skills (minimally in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Must accurately transcribe words and numbers Preferred Optical experience and understanding of optical terminology strongly preferred Awareness of current fashion trends Ability to handle multiple phone lines Knowledge of industry merchandise, products, and services Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators INTERVIEWING FOR THIS POSITION NOW.
