Laboratory Manager job opportunity near Bakersfield, California (rural area) Responsible for coordinating and supervising all functions of the Clinical Laboratory. This includes staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting that promotes cost containment, maintaining PAR and relating with various department physicians and administration of the District. Responsible for recognizing results or problems that requires referral to the Pathologist. Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry. California licensure as a Medical Technologist or one of the following specialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Serology, or Microbiology. ASCP Certification preferred. Experience in a rural hospital environment. Bench work required.
