Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel ER Nurse Shift Manager – Level Leadership Role Primary Stroke Center | 36hrs | Nights | 12hr Shifts 4 We are seeking a strong ER Nurse Shift Manager (NSM) for a busy 21-bed Emergency Department. ?? This is NOT a standard ER RN role. Traveler must have strong Charge RN or management experience. Role Overview NSMs: - Run the department during shift - Take patient assignments as needed - Triage ambulance arrivals - Start IVs / administer meds - Support staff wherever needed - Act as Charge RN Manager This is a hands-on leadership position. Department Details - 21 beds Fast Track - 115–175 patients daily - Primary Stroke Center - 1:4 ratio (1:2 ICU) - Cerner EMR - No dedicated IV team - RT & Pharmacy 24/7 MedSurg/Tele holds possible in ER. ? Requirements ? Strong Charge RN or management experience ? BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required ? Confident leading high-volume ER ? Must be team-oriented ? Must treat this as primary job ? Schedule - 12hr Nights - 36 hours/week - 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule - 1 major 1 minor holiday Floating possible between two ER campuses (6.5 miles apart).
