As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC, Clinical Pharmacist
Coordinator at Barlow Respiratory Hospital, you will plan,
organize, control and supervise clinical activities of the pharmacy
according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the
profession, and State and Federal laws, as well as recommending
innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy
to Administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. You
will be responsible for assisting the Director with department
planning, goals, and objectives that are consistent with the
Hospital and CPS including maintaining appropriate controls of
department functions to insure smooth, effective operations. You
will be actively involved in developing, planning, implementing,
and maintaining clinical programs and projects promoting patient
care by providing leadership to new program development,
implementation, and evaluation and act as a consultant in areas of
expertise. You are able to work independently and handle stress
appropriately; work cooperatively with other members within the
department and hospital; handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes
in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical
decisions, and respond to client concerns; foster a team
environment; communicate effectively (verbal and written); adhere
to regulations, standards, company policies and procedures, and
code of conduct; and maintain the confidentiality of patient and
hospital information.
Schedule: This full-time, exempt position will work 40 hours/week
which may include weekends, holidays, staffing as needed, and
on-call.
Starting Pay: $125K-$145K (based on related work experience).
About the Facility: Located in downtown Los Angeles, Barlow
Respiratory Hospital is a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)
with a specialty in weaning patients from ventilators. They serve
patients with complex medical conditions referred from hospital
intensive care units. They provide highly individualized treatment
and specialized respiratory care and rehabilitation. Their expert
team of board certified doctors, registered nurses, licensed
therapists and our administrative and support staff share a common
goal of making a positive difference in the lives of our patients
and their families. The hospital is accredited by the Joint
Commission. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to
manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is
an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: This centralized automated pharmacy utilizes
Meditech, Omnicell, Up-To-Date and Micromedex online drug
information software support, and CAPS outside vendor to compound
our TPN's. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-8:00pm;
Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, 7:30am-6:00pm.
Required Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of
pharmacy; PharmD preferred
Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
strongly preferred
Minimum of one year of experience as a supervisory pharmacist
involved with program development
3+ years recent experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care
hospital preferred (can include ASHP Accredited Residency)
Through training and/or experience, possess necessary knowledge to
provide oversight of medication regimens for the patient
populations treated in the facility including a knowledge of dosing
for specific age populations
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical
decisions, and respond to client concerns
Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Proficient computer skills using pharmacy systems and Microsoft
applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last
12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving
immunity
Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
Hep B3 Series (or declination)
(Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
