Hospital is a 25-bed general acute care facility designated as a
Critical Access Hospital with a distinct part 66 bed skilled
nursing facility. OVCH provides inpatient, outpatient, and skilled
nursing services for mostly primary and secondary care needs. In
addition, we operate a 24-hour standby emergency department.

To provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services
under the supervision and direction of a licensed
physician and nurse in performing various duties in the Clinic
setting. The Medical Assistant will perform the
routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a
medical assistant training program
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized
certifying organization or eligible to sit for exam within 30 days
of hire. Acceptable certifications are CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, AAMA
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationPreferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Knowledge of medical terminology
