International Content Strategy & Operations (“ICSO”) team partners
with the international regional teams, finance, content planning
and analysis, direct-to-consumer, and other TWDC stakeholders on
optimizing the strategy and operations related to non-US content
for TWDC’s digital streaming services throughout LatAm, EMEA, and
APAC. ICSO is a core group within Disney Entertainment Television
that guides critical business decisions through financial,
operational, and strategic analysis to inform important business
and content related decisions in the ongoing growth of the
business. The team works side-by-side with content leaders across
the globe and serves as the key point-of-contact and bridge between
all the regions and Burbank. This role reports to the Executive
Director International Content Strategy & Operations and is
responsible for conducting analyses of content and marketing
performance, audience insights, business operations, market trends,
and competitor activities to develop effective strategies and
plans, in addition to maintaining databases and enabling
information flow to support decision making in the ongoing growth
of the business. This role will be responsible for analytically
evaluating the investment and performance of our local content on
the various Disney Streaming platforms (Disney and Hulu) and across
multiple distribution windows. This role will work on projects
involving different content categories/genres, with a particular
focus on international markets and content, as well as portfolio
level analyses, third party licensing deal tracking and valuations,
distribution and windowing decisions, and executive-level analysis
and reporting for leaders in Disney Entertainment (DE). This role
will include structuring and building sophisticated financial and
data models for the evaluation of DTC content investments. The
individual must be an excellent communicator and
relationship-builder. This person must have strong data and
presentation skills. He or she will also be extremely organized,
detailed-oriented and process-minded. Primary Responsibilities:
Conducting analyses of portfolio and title-level content
performance (generally using Excel or other data language tools to
manipulate and interpret large sets of data) Creating
presentations, including using effective visualization, to
summarize insights on portfolio/brand/genre/title performances
Conduct comprehensive market research to track industry trends and
help identify new opportunities for growth and innovation Support
Executive Director in overall local content strategy initiatives,
including creation of comprehensive and cohesive presentations for
senior-level review Manage recurring and ad hoc reports to internal
stakeholders and communicate insights in a clear and concise manner
Compiling thoughtful content and marketing post-mortem analyses to
determine areas for optimization and improvement Manage a complex
supply chain of quantitative and qualitative information and
processes among a broad array of stakeholders (including finance,
research, strategy, business affairs, legal and labor relations
among others) and synthesize into clear, actionable insights
Co-Lead with CP&A and D&A the data and financial modeling
on viewership attribution, performance forecasting, improving
content ranking models, and other advanced analytics. Be the go-to
analytic partner for the International Content team by analyzing,
measuring and recommending solutions based on thorough data and
financial understanding Create best practices and deliver
consistent data, reporting and insights Deliver ICSO’s systems and
product customization projects by building and maintaining the
team’s Airtable bases and interfaces which senior leaders rely on
Ensure Airtable data is accurate and up-to-date by interfacing
relevant stakeholder in the regions and in Burbank Update and
maintain department tracking documents (e.g., weekly scheduling
calendars, regional licensing deals, content opportunities,
formats) by interfacing with regional and Burbank stakeholders Be
the expert on the international local content slates; be able to
efficiently answer ad hoc questions on the slates from our senior
leaders; and be able to pull data for leadership whenever requested
in a timely manner. Work with leadership and the marketing teams to
determine appropriate prioritization processes for the
international content slate. Keep track of and manage the process
of promoting our key priority titles with all relevant
stakeholders, including with the US partners. Support ad hoc
strategic initiatives focused on content travelability, new content
categories, AI, and short-form content, pushing DET’s innovation
agenda forward Work closely with the Data team and be the expert in
Audience Taste-Based Segmentation and Content Mapping frameworks,
helping local teams apply insights to programming and strategic
planning Basic Qualifications: 3 years minimum of work experience
in consulting, investment banking, finance/strategy roles at
media/technology companies, or other quantitative fields
Demonstrated interest in streaming entertainment and the
international entertainment landscape Candidate must be highly
analytical with superior communication skills and someone who can
thrive in a fast-paced and matrixed organization Possess
intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and exhibit the
highest personal and professional standards of integrity Must be
motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively
in collaborative and autonomous environments High aptitude and
enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling
and analysis, including highly advanced Excel modeling skills Must
have high organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability
to anticipate the needs of a project/workflow or leadership
Familiarity with statistical concepts and analysis Fluency in
building visualizations of complex data sets and proficiency with
PowerPoint High EQ and professional maturity, with demonstrated
ability to engage at an executive level Familiarity with the brands
and franchises of The Walt Disney Company Demonstrates some
understanding of international business and cultures Preferred
Qualifications: Passion and familiarity with International content
and entertainment is a strong plus Experience using SQL/Python/R a
plus Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is
required Preferred Qualifications: MBA preferred The hiring range
for this position in Burbank, CA is $93,500.00 to $128,000.00 per
year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal
equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic
region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other
factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided
as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range
of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the
