We are a heavy civil contractor that has worked on a wide range of projects in Southern California, including residential, commercial, industrial, school, infrastructure, and sewage, water, storm drain, concrete structures, treatment facilities, and pump stations. Our projects have a wide range in terms of cost as we have some in the couple-hundred thousands and others in the 20-30 million dollar range. What You Will Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of subcontractors and other team members, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining a safe and organized worksite.

As an underground utilities project manager, you should have a thorough understanding of construction principles and techniques, as well as experience managing complex construction projects. You should also have a strong understanding of underground utility systems, including water, sewage, and electrical systems. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and budgets.

Some specific responsibilities of an underground utilities project manager may include:

Developing and managing project schedules and budgets
Coordinating the work of subcontractors, including hiring and supervising their work
Monitoring project progress and ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget
Communicating with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers
Reviewing and approving project documents, such as drawings and contracts
Ensuring that all construction activities are performed safely and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of experience in construction. You should also have a strong understanding of construction software and technologies, and be able to work effectively with a variety of team members and stakeholders.
