Components, Deployables Operating Unit (OU) is a leading supplier
of advanced Deployable Reflectors, Solar Arrays, Boom and other
structures and mechanisms for Spacecraft and other space-related
applications. In addition, the unit also designs and produces
microwave EW and slotted waveguide antennas for aircraft. We are
seeking Program Managers to support operations in our Oxnard, CA,
facility.OverviewReporting to the Deployables Director of Programs
or other Senior Program Management leadership within the
Deployables OU, the Program Manager 2 will be responsible for
managing key programs within the Deployables business portfolio.
This PM2 will require technical expertise, strong leadership and
collaborative people skills with the proven ability and experience
to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, fast-paced and
strategically important operating unit.ResponsibilitiesLead and
direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design,
manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and
production phasesTransition designs to manufacturing, working with
the technical team to identify ways to streamline manufacturing and
assembly processes, achieving required delivery rates and reduced
cost targetsDevelop and execute to project budgets and schedules,
including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path
management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload
forecastsWork with suppliers and be able to articulate project
requirementsBrief internal and external customers and leadership on
progress of work assignedLead failure root cause analysis and
corrective actions as neededTrack and report on program performance
metrics including EACs and schedule performanceEstablish milestones
and monitors adherence to master plans and schedulesIdentify
program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of
resources or changing contractual specificationsWork closely with
leadership to ensure full compliance with Division, Corporate, and
Government policiesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in
engineering or technical discipline5 - 10+ years of Program or
Project Management experience or similar (e.g. Lead IPT (Integrated
Product Team), or Lead NPT (New Product Team) or Systems
Engineering leadExperience in design for manufacturing and
transition to production programsGated design development
experience (PDR, CDR)Strong interpersonal, communication and
presentation skillsProven analytical, technical, strategic and
problem-solving skillsProficient in MS Office Suite and MS
ProjectUS Citizenship is a requirement for employmentPreferred
QualificationsFamiliarity with Space Deployable Structures and
MechanismsWorking Environment & Physical Demands:Travel to customer
site and/or within the Operating Unit to Goleta, CA, up to 10-15%
of the time; both domestic and international travel as
requiredAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of times
and light physical effort as requiredSalary Range: $143,500 USD -
$215,300 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
