Deployables program in Oxnard, CA is seeking to hire a full-time,
on-site Electronics Engineer to support harnessing work and
development. This individual will be researching, designing,
developing, and testing a variety of electronic equipment and
systems.Responsibilities:Support the engineering design and
installation of electrical harnesses for various spaceflight
systems.Research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic
equipment and systems including:Radar and radiation detection
equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and
systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and
control and test equipment.Design electrical harnesses for power
distribution, RF, communication and high-speed data signal,
selection of harness components and hardware, connectors,
backshells, cable and wireUnderstanding and application of EMI/RFI
and harness shielding, creation of 3D routed harness data files
utilizing Creo (Pro/Engineer) Cabling and Routed System Designer
(RSD)Create harness detail and installation drawings including 2D
flat harness drawings from the 3D harness data setsDesign and
integrate harness support brackets, support design configuration
development and trade studies, provide technical guidance for
hardware installationSupport the assembly and testing of cables and
harnesses while maintaining and reporting on activity schedule &
technical statusLocate opportunities for improvements and
operational cost and schedule savingsQualifications5 years of
relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM
discipline; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree;
0 years of relevant experience with a PhDExperience designing and
integrating electrical harnessingStrong electrical/mechanical
design and integration skills using 3-D CAD
softwarePreferred:Familiarity with common manufacturing processes,
chemical coatings, metals and their treatments in the manufacturing
of satellite subsystems. (Solar Arrays, Deployable Mechanical
Systems)Familiar with existing applicable harness standards:
IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4Experience with Creo and Windchill
or similar 3D softwareUnderstanding and application of wire
derating analysisPrefer experience designing and integrating
electrical harnessing for spacecraft, launch vehicles, or
aircraft"Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDEmployees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as
allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice
President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
