meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract
position is for a Substitute Educational Specialist providing home
instruction to a deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) student in Irvine,
California. The role involves working closely with the Orange
County Department of Education (OCDE) DHH program teacher to
deliver appropriate curriculum and assignments. ASL interpretation
services will be provided by the district, with both the student's
parent and ASL interpreter present during sessions. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver home-based instruction for a DHH student
following the curriculum and guidelines provided by the OCDE DHH
Program Teacher. Collaborate with the ASL interpreter and parent to
facilitate effective communication and learning. Adapt teaching
methods to meet the specific needs of a student with hearing
impairments. Maintain accurate records of instructional activities
and student progress. Qualifications and Experience: Experience
teaching or tutoring students with disabilities, particularly those
who are deaf or hard of hearing. Preferably hold SPED
certification, though this is not mandatory. Strong understanding
of educational strategies for DHH students. Ability to collaborate
effectively with interpreters and families. Position Details:
Location: Irvine, California (home instruction) Contract Duration:
April 6th to June 5th, 2026 Hours: 15 hours per week (3 hours
daily, Monday through Friday) Setting: One student in a home-based
educational environment This opportunity allows you to impact a
student's learning experience directly while working in a
supportive team environment including the OCDE DHH program.
Qualified candidates with passion and relevant experience in

this position ranges from $18.52 to $35.52. Eligible candidates may
