A school-based Physical Therapist opportunity is available in San Juan Capistrano, CA, serving students from preschool through high school within a K-12 setting. This full or part-time contract position covers coverage through the end of the school year, providing maternity leave support. Ideal candidates will have flexibility in hours with a preference for at least 30 hours weekly, though approximately 20 hours per week are acceptable. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 35 students, delivering physical therapy services tailored to various developmental stages across the school spectrum. The role requires hands-on, on-site engagement to support student progress effectively. Qualifications and Experience: - Masters Degree in Physical Therapy - Active California Physical Therapy License - Experience working in school settings preferred (0-10 years considered) - Ability to manage a caseload with efficiency and compassion - Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators and families Location: - San Juan Capistrano area, California Responsibilities: - Provide physical therapy services to students as per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) - Develop and implement treatment plans focusing on functional improvements - Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements - Coordinate with school staff and parents to ensure ongoing support and follow-through This contract offers a chance to impact student well-being within a supportive educational environment.
