Hi! My name is Zach and Im a current intern working at Web n Retail and want to let you know that we currently have one P/T opening! If you are someone who is eager to learn about how the music industry works behind the scenes and dont mind working in a fast paced environment you are encouraged to apply. Keep in mind this is a NON-PAID TRAINING INTERNSHIP but is a great opportunity to be fully trained in the latest and most traditional marketing techniques applicable across any industry. As an intern here you will be given an official title as a Project Coordinator and be given a letter of recommendation at the end of your employment period. What is Web n Retail? Web 'n Retail is a music marketing and PR firm that has been in business over 25 years. We work mostly with indie artist helping them grow their name to become more successful in the industry. Here we will teach you how to market bands and artists over multiple different platforms (Social Media, Blogging, etc.) while also teaching trending marketing techniques. You can track your success by watching our clients become more successful with our help! What can I expect to learn while working at Web n Retail? Skills you will learn include but are not limited to Viral Marketing Techniques, Viral and Traditional PR, Creating/Managing a strong following for artists through social media, Press Release Writing, Creating Email Marketing Campaigns, Google Keyword research, Database Management, Music Licensing Solicitations, Blogging, and Spotify Artist Management. Basic Requirements: We ask for a 2 day a week commitment, 7 hours a day, for approximately 4 months. Additionally employees must be willing to work at our beachside office in Mandalay Bay (in Oxnard), CA. The normal days and hours of business are Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Skills: Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Social Media, etc.) Reliable and Punctual Problem Solving Skills Creativity A Sense of humor! Additional Information: Web n Retail is a casual and fun place to work that will give you exactly what you put into it. After this internship you will have a brand new set of skills to carry with you onto your next venture. Additionally there is the possibility of being hired on for our 1 of our 2 part-time paid positions as a Project Manager (Both are Currently Filled with ex-Interns but can become available at any time); for which we only hire from our already trained interns. It is approximately a one hour commute by car from either Westwood or the San Fernando Valley on the 101. That is actually the same exact driving time as it would take you to go from the San Fernando Valley to Santa Monica (during peak traffic hours).
